4 | Well.... | Phil 4:8 | Samantha432 | 155352
I am grateful he is not abusive in other ways, but I also think that 6 or 7 hours playing a game is harmful. It takes away from time for God, time for me, time for our dog, etc. etc. I have no problem letting him have his own hobbies, but how is it healthy or glorifying God playing a computer game that takes him out of reality for HOURS???
5 | Husband problems again! | Phil 4:8 | Samantha432 | 155265
Hello- My husband is a really great guy. I love him SO much! But I am getting really irritated becuase he plays this "World of Warcraft" game non-stop, like hours and hours a day. To me, it seems like a sin to be that obsessed, but he says that it's because his job is emotionally draining (which is true) and he needs to escape from reality. I know it's wrong to nag and bother him about it constantly, but I feel like he's sinning, but I don't know what biblical verses I can use to back this up. Am I wrong? What would you do? I want to help him, but maybe I am doing more harm by judging him? Help! |

6 | Why! WHY! | Bible general Archive 2 | Samantha432 | 155260
Why if this is true, "Pushing one's denominational bias and engaging in debates, such as Calvinism/Arminianism, are strictly forbidden on this Forum. Failure to comply may result in revocation of your privilege to post." are people that are OBVIOUSLY pushing their own beliefs, debating, arguing, etc. etc. still allowed to post?

10 | Spanking OK? | NT general Archive 1 | Samantha432 | 154092
All over Minnesota Christian radio, people are arguing about whether or not "spanking" your kids is ok or not. I've never seen anything in the bible for or against it. Is there a verse explaining that?
11 | Sins of the Flesh? | Gal 5:19 | Samantha432 | 153802
What are considered, "sins of the flesh"? and where does it talk about them in the bible? Also, totally different question, but I was always told that the KJV wasn't a good version to use, since it was writen by one man? Am I wrong? Were they wrong? Just wondering cuz I noticed a lot of people use it. Thanks! |

14 | Who wrote this poem? | Bible general Archive 2 | Samantha432 | 153739
Does anyone know who wrote this poem? I stood a mendicant of God before His royal throne And begged him for one priceless gift, which I could call my own. I took the gift from out His hand, but as I would depart I cried, "But Lord this is a thorn and it has pierced my heart. This is a strange, a hurtful gift, which Thou hast given me." He said, "My child, I give good gifts and gave My best to thee." I took it home and though at first the cruel thorn hurt sore, As long years passed I learned at last to love it more and more. I learned He never gives a thorn without this added grace, He takes the thorn to pin aside the veil which hides His face. |

15 | How do you have faith? | Heb 13:5 | Samantha432 | 153351
I'm really jealous of my best friend. She has a cute little family, she stays home and takes care of her kids, and they just bought a new house, and she just found out she is pregnant! Yay, right? No, Not for me. I, of course, am completely envious and jealous of her and her husband. My husband works 4pm-12am and I work 8am-5pm. So we literally do not see eachother at all. But her husband has a great job with great hours. On top of that, we're not sure if we can have biological kids because of his previous battle with cancer. It's just really hard to be happy for someone who has everything I've always dreamed. I know, I know how STUPID I'm being and how selfish I am. I know it's a sin. I guess I have little faith. My real question here is not so much how to not be jealous, but how to have total faith in God's will for me. Do you guys have any verses to inspire me? Please don't judge me, I know that I'm wrong for feeling this way. I don't know how to have faith.
16 | Why does he fall asleep at church? | Luke 8:15 | Samantha432 | 153257
Hello everyone. Everytime my husband listens to a sermon, goes to church, or we try to have a bible study, he starts falling asleep. Aside from it being the most annoying thing, I really want to help him because he's missing out on so much. What's weird is that he will do all sorts of other things and be totally fine, but as soon as we start talking about God, Boom! He's tired, he's sleeping, and dosing. What can I do? He thinks it's the devil trying to hinder his relationship with God. Should he even go to church if he's going to fall asleep? I'm praying for some help, thanks guys! |

18 | How do you even begin to witness? | 1 John 5:7 | Samantha432 | 153111
How do you witness? I'm so scared of offending someone that I don't know what to say. For instance, at work, everyone is always using the Lord's name in vain. I hate it, but I never have the guts to say anything. I bring my bible to work with me, and I hide it so no one knows what I'm reading. It's like I'm ashamed, but I don't want to be. I really very new to knowing God. I'm still learning about Him. I don't want Him to be angry at me, but I don't seem to have enough courage. Could you guys pray for me to stand up for Him? Do you have any thoughts on this? Thank you for you responses. God Bless.
19 | Such thing as a choice? | Eccl 6:10 | Samantha432 | 153021
so is it that God knows our choices but has not decided them but allowed them?
20 | Such thing as a choice? | Eccl 6:10 | Samantha432 | 153019
There are some people who believe that we have free will, choice, and the ability to make our own decisions. Some even say that God changes His mind, so we must have choice.(ex: Sodom and Gomorrah) But when you read this verse from Ecclesiastes 6:10,"Everything has already been decided. It was known long ago what each person would be. So there's no use arguing with God about your destiny," it disproves this theory. So why are people still arguing about it? Or am I missing something?
