1 | Holiness 'Missing Link?' | Eph 4:24 | Percival | 69658
Dear Searcher, Greetings in the name of Jesus! Very good set of references. Thank you! I find one element of Christian holiness missing. Can you, or anyone else, supply it, and expound it? In Christ Jesus, charis |

2 | Elegant Salvation? | Eph 2:5 | Percival | 31134
Saints, Watching things from afar, I continue to be amazed at the complicated formulae propounded for such a simple and elegant thing, that is salvation. Some 'reformed ' doctrines are so convoluted that I wonder how they keep track. It seems that the Spirit of God has been excised, replaced by an 'infallible' church of tradition and intellect. Proponents of 'free will' have the unmitigated gall to think that they can just one day 'decide' to believe on Jesus Christ, which begins their relationship with God, and then they must 'tallyho' 'til the end! Good Luck! God, by His Spirit, quickened us together with Christ, and continues, without fail, to bring us to glory. Heb 12:2 Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God. Heb 12:3 For consider him that endured such contradiction of sinners against himself, lest ye be wearied and faint in your minds. (KJV) Praise the Lord! |

3 | Benefit of the doubt? | Luke 6:41 | Percival | 16518
Saints, I have been reading some of the exchanges of 'compliments' between forum colleagues these past few weeks. I could not help but notice a distinct lack of 'benefit of the doubt.' Could we not attempt to accept one another as fellow Christians, regardless of our differences? The measure of one another is limited by the nature of this international internet forum. Unless another is obviously not a recipient of the Gospel of Christ Jesus, we should treat them with due respect, and carry ourselves with dignity befitting a servant of our Lord and His church. Praise the Lord! |

4 | Your paradigm? | 1 Tim 6:20 | Percival | 7433
Lionstrong, I, too, am puzzled by your statements. They are more difficult to follow that reading Soren Kierkegaard. Though you claim not to deny science, you seem to go to great lengths to reject it. Please do succinctly explain the role of science in your paradigm. Praise the Lord! |

5 | Accusations obligatory? | Rom 5:6 | Percival | 6487
Orthodoxy, You seem to be confusing the Good News of the kingdom of God with your own personal dogma. This amounts to your condemning anyone that disagrees with the Gospel according to Orthodoxy. I see no evidence that our brother has denied the Christ or blasphemed the Holy Spirit, only that he disagrees with you on the doctrine of election. Can you not discuss this issue without ranting, accusations of heresy, and condemnation of a fellow Christian? Praise the Lord! |

7 | What took you so long? | Rom 5:6 | Percival | 6371
What took you so long? Finally, the discussion between the disciples of Calvin and the disciples of Arminus erupts into the familiar lines of bigotry. Calvinists have well proved the utter depravity of man, and the doctrine of exclusion, excuse me, election. A single avowed Arminist has allowed free will to run amok. But the valiant defenders of their faith held their ground and gouged an eye for an eye. Now, even so, the revelation to that famous heretic, Martin Luther, is given to us, "For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God." (Ephesians 2:8) It is good to know that this verse applies even to extremists and self-righteous saints. "Let not then your good be evil spoken of." (Romans 14:16) Have you all been sleeping well? Praise the Lord! |

8 | Sectarians go to Hell? | Gal 5:20 | Percival | 4838
Dear members, This scripture, in the context of Gal.5:19-21 speaks of things that would negate our inheritance of the kingdom of God. Among them is 'factions' (also translated 'sect' in the NASB) - haireses, meaning choice, opinion, and the basis of the word heresy. My question is in two parts: 1-Does 'not inheriting the kingdom of God' mean going to Hell? (including heretics) and 2-Does not a goodly part of Christianity engage in sectarian practices? Praise the Lord! |

9 | Brotherly love, primary? | John 13:35 | Percival | 4648
I have been reading some of the questions and answers on this forum, and have to wonder if this scripture is primary in the hearts of many of the people involved. Just an observation. Thanks. Praise the Lord!
