In I Kings Chapter 2:13-25, Adonijah asked King Solomon's mother, Bathsheba, to ask King Solomon to give Abishag, King David's nurse, to himself as his wife. When King David was requested this by his mother, his response was more than an answer to Adonijah's request, and in verse 24 and 25 King David orders that Adonijah be killed. I don't understand why King David had Adonijah killed for wanting to marry Abishag. Thank you. | ||||||
