1 | Christians with demon oppression | Bible general Archive 3 | Kanchi | 166512
What can be done for Christians suffering from demonic oppression? Sometimes my friend has terrible oppression, and even when she prays in Jesus' name against it, nothing happens. The demons actually mock Jesus name to her and tell her it has no power. I don't know what to tell her.

3 | For Aliennow | Rom 8:1 | Kanchi | 159937
I don't understand... I saw another question where you said that a believer cannot be indwelt by the Holy Spirit and also by Satan (salt and fresh water theme....) but then Judas cannot possibly be a believer if Satan entered him....
4 | Was Judas Iscariot a believer? | Matt 5:13 | Kanchi | 159848
If Jesus chose the twelve apostles, and He chose Judas, was Judas a believer? And how can Judas have been a believer if "Satan entered him" when he betrayed Jesus? (I'm thinking of the passage that says a spring cannot produce both salt and fresh water). If Judas was NOT a believer, then did Jesus just intentionally choose a non-believer to betray Him? Wouldn't intentionally enlisting someone Satan himself could enter have had negative effects on His earthly ministry?
5 | For Doc | Bible general Archive 3 | Kanchi | 159607
Thanks... I thought of a couple more points to that question. If no one has been to heaven and returned, then what about 2 Cor. 12:2-4? This man obviously returned since Paul knew of his experience. And, if no one has been to heaven but Jesus, how did he say to the thief on his side "Today you will be with me in Paradise?" I suppose this all makes sense if souls go immediately to heaven until the 1000-year reign on earth (I don't know much about that, sorry if it's innaccurate). Plus, what about the prophets and dreams and visions? Are those not divine?
6 | The wedding at Cana | John | Kanchi | 159589
In John 2, why does Jesus tell Mary "my time has not yet come" but go ahead and perform a miracle anyways?
7 | Do people immediately go to heaven? | John 3:13 | Kanchi | 159592
In John 3:13 it says that "No noe has ever gone into heaven except the one who came form heaven -- the Son of Man." Does this hold with the idea of Purgatory? What about the belief that people go to heaven when they die? Where do they go? Where are souls at rest until the return of Jesus?
8 | Who killed King Saul? | 1 Sam 31:4 | Kanchi | 158843
In the end of 1 Samuel, Saul asks his armour-bearer to kill him because he is wounded. When his armour-bearer refuses because he is scared, it says "Saul took his own sword and fell on it." (1 Sam. 31:4) Then his armour-bearer also killed himself. Then, in the very first chapter of 2 Samuel, an Amalekite comes to David to boast that he has killed Saul. This can't be the armour-bearer since he died with Saul. So who killed Saul?
9 | What does Luke 16 mean? I don't get it. | Luke 16:9 | Kanchi | 158682
I'm not sure if this is the type of question we're supposed to ask, but does anyone understand the parable of the shrewd manager? (Luke 16). This story makes no sense to me. I especially don't get verse 9.
