1 | Jesus let deeper means pass-Peter's loss | John 21:15 | KSR | 156011 | ||
God's day indeed Searcher, and the same to you. Thank you for the suggestion to read the other threads - and I did so. But, I aready knew this info. If Jesus were to ask me, "Do you love me as you love the Father - and I answered I love you as a friend" I would feel I'd missed a huge opportunity. Similar to the way a wife would feel if her husband said, "I love you like a sister!" You can love a sister very deeply and sincerely - but it has no comparison to the depth and breadth of love you can have for a wife. I feel Peter missed this opportunity for a deeper, closer "love" and Jesus let it pass. The loss to Peter never ceases to move me! |
