1 | Reconciliation from near or afar | Ps 15:1 | JennyLC | 66707
Keeping God's commands is what counts.- I Corinthians 7:19b A woman is bound to her husband as long as he lives. I Corinthians 7:39 If any of you lack wisdom, he should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to him. But when he asks, he must believe and not doubt, because he who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed about by the wind. That man should not think he will receive anything from the Lord, he is a double-minded man, unstable in all he does. -James 1:5-8 Blessed is the man who perserveres under trial, because when he has stood the test, he will receive the crown of life that God has promised to those who love him. - James 1:12 But the man who looks intently into the perfect law that gives freedom and continues to do this, not forgetting what he has heard, but doing it- he will be blessed in what he does. -James 1:22 Thank you for your words of wisdom. It made me cry..tears of joy and a couple of sighs here and there. Well,he lives in one state and I another. I just got a job offer in his city that is minutes away from his address. Is this moving too quickly? I have been in fervent prayer and the job description is in my area of expertise. I have been unemployed for 3 months. Should we automatically remarry, move in together, and see counselors together as husband and wife..all at the same time? Or do I turn down this job opportunity and the chance to be in the same living space to pray and really work thru this? I don't want us to go into this with one foot in and one foot out. To me, it is, we, either trust God and make this move and have faith that his blessings will fall on us even if it is years before we see light...or should we work on reconciliation from afar with prayer and counseling separately and not remarry yet? What are your thoughts and opinions? |

2 | Reconciliation after Divorce- Burning ? | Ps 15:1 | JennyLC | 66671
This question is centered around reconciliation after divorce. Infidelity was not the grounds of divorce, it was willful disobedience. Both of us, have had intimate relations with another person after our divorce. We are truly seeking to be obedient to God's word in seeking remarriage/reconciliation. It is difficult for him because he said that he doesn't have the "lost in love" feelings that he used to have. This is completely understandable. I believe that as we draw nearer to God, He draws nearer to us and can put that love in our hearts for the other person. Although, remarriage is committing adultery. How would explain the sin of sex with another after the divorce and then seeking reconciliation? Does God still want reconciliation under these circumstances? Aren't we adulterers anyway? I am sold out to reconciliation with the husband God gave me in my youth...this is just a lingering question I have. I am not clear on what the answer is.
