1 | Theoretical Question | Bible general Archive 2 | Hamartolos | 139169
Before Christ, one had to offer a burnt sacrifice to atone for one's sins. In Hebrews, the author also says it was faith. My question is this, (theoritically) say someone who truly had faith in God, and always strived to do His will, and always obeyed the law, was in Rome for some reason. In Jerusalem, Jesus was crucified and killed. If that man in Rome died two days afterward, and never even knew Christ died, would he still get to go to Heaven, even though the law was completed and sacrifices were then void?
2 | Do retards go to Hell? | Bible general Archive 2 | Hamartolos | 139172
All who do not believe in Christ go to Hell, except infants. I know that. But what about mental retards? Are they counted as infants? or does infants strictly apply to babes? Vobis omnes gratias.
3 | Does "oenus" mean wine or juice? | Matt 9:17 | Hamartolos | 139199
In the New Testament, does the word wine really mean "juice"? Because I've checked most of the passages in the N.T. (including the marriage at Cana) and have found the word "oenus" every single time. I'm no scholar, so I would like to know if the word "oenus" either always means wine or means either wine or juice. Any help is welcome. Vobis gratias.
4 | Where does God say he always says Y or N | Matt 5:37 | Hamartolos | 138404
Which verse in the Bible says that God always gives his answer with a yes or a no and that anything else comes from Satan (or evil, I can't remember)? I would much like to know. If it's any help, I'm kind of sure the verse is found the Books of the Law (though I'm not 100 percent sure). Thanks to all.
