1 | y is it harder for a rich man to enter.. | Luke 13:24 | Empty_Me | 130777
could someone please explain this verse to me properly. " o say again- it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than a rich man to enter the kingdom of God." Mathew 19: 24 My step dad who is not a christain asked me what it meant....and I wasn't entirely sure...except that its harder for a rich man to realize his need for God b/c his wealth creates a false sense of self-sufficeny/ security.
2 | w/o the Law would man be concious of sin | Rom 3:20 | Empty_Me | 130204
Romans 3:20 states "no one will be decalared righteous in His (God's) sight by observing the law, rather, through the law we become conscious of sin." Does that mean that without the law (i.e. 10 commandments) all of mankind would be unaware of his sin? beacuse I've noted christains often use the arguement,"how do you know the differnce between right and wrong", alluding to the fact that if we evolved no such thing would exist. i've always kind of understood it to be that the spirit convicts people....but then in romans it says that man wouldn't be aware of his sin if it weren't for the law.
3 | Meaning of John 12:24-25 | John 12:24 | Empty_Me | 126098
Hey guys, can anyone hlpe explian this passage to me? I know it has a message for every christian outside of predicting jesus's death, but I can't get my head around it. here's the verse: "24I tell you the truth, unless a kernel of wheat falls to the ground and dies, it remains only a single seed. But if it dies, it produces many seeds. 25The man who loves his life will lose it, while the man who hates his life in this world will keep it for eternal life. 26Whoever serves me must follow me; and where I am, my servant also will be. My Father will honor the one who serves me." |

I am reading a book called the invisble war, and it alledges that the fall occured in between that period of time...and that the 6day creation was a restoration..?? I'm veery puzzled ..if anyone could offer biblical insight, that'd be great! |
