1 | Why did Eve react like that? | Bible general Archive 4 | DUDUTJ | 218497
I know and understand perfectly the account of the talking snake, I know and believe, of course, that it was not just the animal there, but a wicked spirit talking through it. But my doubt is about the Eve's reaction... I would like to know WHY she was not afraid of seeing an animal talking, so as Balaam... if we, today, saw one of those things, we'd run away immediately but they didn't, why? I read in John Gill's Exposition that good angles used to talking through animals with our original parents, so as Jewish tradition says about it, and by being accostumed to it, both (Eve and Balaam) didn't get afraid in front of an animal talking... is that right?
2 | Harmony between two thoughts. Joshua 7 | Josh 7:1 | DUDUTJ | 211852
The Bible says about Achan in Joshua cap. 7. All Israel suffered God's wrath because of the fault of one guy, and it says that 'the sin of Achan is the sin of all Israel'. But also the bible says that the father or mother must not be blamed because of the sin of a son or daughter; because everyone must asnwer his own mistake. How could I (as a christian) agree these two thoughts? Is right for God to blame all the innocent people because of a mistake of one only man?
3 | Genesis 3:14 | Gen 3:14 | DUDUTJ | 210723
it is quite logical that some words from Genesis 3:14 is applied to the serpent, although, it is also quite logical that has some application to Satan... I would like to know if there is any evidence in science that proves that the serpent had legs before, and what would be applied to the evolution was actually the hand of God on the matter... I would like to get not only the answer, but also some references so as I could be able to "prove" what I am saying, instead of talking nonsense |

4 | Titus 1:10-12 | Titus 1:12 | DUDUTJ | 210619
When Paul wrote his letter to Titus, he spoke about some judaizing christians in a negative sense (cf. Titus 1:10 and 11) And when he was finished in this two verses he concluded by saying: "One of them, a prophet of their own, said, "Cretans are always liars, evil beasts, lazy gluttons.""(Titus 1:12 NKJV) My question is: "If this cited prophet spoke about the geral natural of CRETANS, why did Paul apply this to christian JUDAIZING, or christians who were Jews?" |

5 | Words in Mat 28:19: Are they spurious? | Matt 28:19 | DUDUTJ | 210481
Hi... I had read one article about the possibility that the words in Matthew 28:19 are not inspired, are spurious... I know that all the greek texts that I have been reading and using during some years, all of them contain "in the name of FATHER, SON E HOLY SPIRIT". Any one has any opinion about it? Because I really believe that those words were written by the apostle, but I dont afford lots of arguments to use against it. Is there any one who could help me? |

6 | Minor Prophets | OT general | DUDUTJ | 207652
I know that the books called Minor Prophets were originally one scroll (or book). Does anyone know the reason for the order inside of it (Hosea,Joel, Amos,Obadiah etc)? Why did Jews put it in that order? Is there any reason for it or are they in that order just by chance?
7 | Bible harmony | Bible general Archive 4 | DUDUTJ | 203179
Hi, yesterday one friend of mine asked me how could the Psalm 2:12 say that God's Son easily gets angry with their enimies if also the Bible states that God is slow to anger? (Naum 1:2, 3; compare isso com Ex 20:5; 34:6, 7)How could I find harmony between those two thouths?
8 | Counting of time | Bible general Archive 4 | DUDUTJ | 196341
Why did Jews count the years contrary to the way we do nowadays. For example: "1670 BCE (Before Common Era) so the next year would be 1671 BCE (in our way of counting time) and not 1669 BCE. (their way of counting)" Why did they decrease the number instead of increasing it? |

9 | Jude's Greek Words | Jude | DUDUTJ | 178658
I've been studying Jude's Letter, and I could see thru many Bible references and Bible Commentaries that Jude used about 15 words that is used nowhere else in The New testament. Is there any reason why he used "new" words in greek? Or are all those words put in the letter in unique existence just by chance?
10 | what does "Jeremiah 1:5" mean? | Jer 1:5 | DUDUTJ | 170003
I had a conversation with a mormon one of these days and he used this text to prove that we, in the past, lived already with a flesh-and-bones God. Well, I know that this is quite stupid as well as all their beliefs are, but I wanna understand what God wanted to say when he say "before I formed you in the womb I knew you.." I know that hebrew poetry repeats the same ideia with different words, then I understand that, the expression "Before I formed you in the womb I knew.." doesn't mean a pre-existence with God, but that this expression links with the second statement "before you were born", which means, that God saw the embryo and already knew his inclinations, tendencies etc. Is that all right? Can you help me to understand more fully this verse? |
