2 | What is Dominion Theology? | Luke 18:8 | Aspilos | 177907
Doc, even though it's impossible to know someone while communicating through a forum, I didn't really think you were trying to offer a contradiction. I was just probing for a more thorough answer and I appreciate that. I guess I'm not up on the terms today though, and thats got me wanting to ask another question. What is "Dominion Theology"? Thanks! Bendiciones! Aspilos |

4 | Who chose the New Testament books? | NT general Archive 1 | Aspilos | 173732
If this has been a topic of discussion before I couldn’t find it. I have not studied this lately, but if my understanding is correct, the first complete compilation of the books of the New Testament as we know it was done during the fourth century A.D. during the reign of Constantine. There were a number of writings that were not accepted into the New Testament at the time. Weren’t those men who ultimately selected these books or writings, Catholics? Bendiciones! Aspilos |

6 | Could anyone help me locate a book? | Bible general Archive 2 | Aspilos | 122368
Could anyone perhaps help me locate a book? I'm looking to buy a book for my father. It is a paperback and the name of it is [Prophetic Lectures on Daniel and the Revelation]. He has an old copy that looks pretty tattered now and I wanted to get him another one. The author is F.G. Smith. I have found some of his books, but not this particular one so far. I know there's lots of books out there on the subject, but I'd like to get this one for a replacement. Thanks! Bendiciones! Aspilos |

7 | How can there be 1000 yrs of reign? | Rev 20:7 | Aspilos | 122003
How can there be 1000 yrs of reign on earth after the coming of the Lord? Doesn't this scripture contradict that idea? 2 Peter 3:10 But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up. 11 Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness, |

8 | Is this heaven or the family? | John 14:2 | Aspilos | 61803
Greetings Hank, I know it's been a while since this discussion, but I was strolling around and came across the comments here and found them to be quite interesting. It also stirred a question in me. Is the Lord actually describing heaven here or do you think it's more probable that He is assuring His disciples that a "place" is being prepared especially for them in the Father’s family. The reason I ask this question is, often throughout the Bible, the mention of house is in reference to family. Joshua 24:15 And if it seem evil unto you to serve the LORD, choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD. In telling them, “I go and prepare a place for you” could it be that He was on his way to be offered up and thus make a way for them to become sons of God and members of the Father’s house [family]? In verse 23 of the same chapter the same word again is used, but translated as abode in the KJV. Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him. He's not saying that He is going to heaven to build a place, but rather, "we [He and the Father] will come unto him [the believer] to make their abode. Bendiciones! Aspilos |

10 | Are modern services merely a tradition? | 1 Cor 14:29 | Aspilos | 60497
Are modern church services merely a tradition? Whether you're Catholic or Protestant and the services are conducted by a priest or a preacher, one thing seems the same. Most often, one person will deliver a message to the congregation, and that said without dispute. So what about, "let the others pass judgment?" Does anyone really do that? KJV 1 Corinthians 14:26 How is it then, rethren? when ye come together, every one of you hath a psalm, hath a doctrine, hath a tongue, hath a revelation, hath an interpretation. Let all things be done unto edifying. |

13 | Is tongues a matter of fact? | 1 Cor 14:5 | Aspilos | 55784
retxar, your definition for sign is, "Something that suggests..." An atheist may tell you that our God being invisible, suggests that He doesn't exist, but that doesn't make it a fact, does it? Signs can be altered. Evidence is, "helpful in forming a conclusion" because it can not be altered. If it could, it wouldn't be evidence and neither could it be instumental in forming a conclusion or proving a fact. Do you believe it is a fact that someone has received the Holy Ghost because they spoke with tongues? God bless! Aspilos |
