I got the scripture from the old testament Leviticus 23:8. "The seventh day shall be a holy convocation; you shall do no customary work on it." I found the prohibited work list in a book by Rabbi Aaron Perry. I also tried to follow up with looking into the Talmud (babaloynian version) for help. Thank you you have hit the problem dead center. I was caught up in how Jesus came not to destroy the law but to fullfill it. I assumed that to sin was to violate the law or God's will. I wnated to know God's will I needed to know the law.I then assumed if I started learning the law and its application I would learn to stop sining problem solved. I understand the sabbath is to be kept holy. I got the list of pohibited tasks from a book by Rabi Aaron Perry. I need to understand how you would be eexpected to keep the sabbath holy. I do understand Jesus was Lord of the Sabbath. I know acts of mercy are aloud. Is there any further enlightenment you have. | ||||||
