1 | God created man sin-ful? | Bible general | jeremiah1five | 241520
Scripture teaches that there is only One God, that God gives His glory to no one, and there is none like God. I do not believe God can reduplicate Himself in Himself so part of His plan for man is to create heaven, earth, etc. I have come to believe that God created man (Adam) sin-ful, or as the word is defined by Strong's "to miss the mark." What is that "mark?" The glory of God. Adam sinned because he was created a sinner, or sin-ful, as there is only One God. If God is the standard by which everyone and everything is judged, and if Paul is correct that "I had not known sin but by the Law. For I had not known lust except the Law said 'thou shalt not covet." Wouldn't the command to Adam "thou shalt not eat of it [the fruit/tree]" also qualify as a law/command of "thou shalt not" showing that Adam was a sinner? Adam had not known disobedience except the law/command said "thou shalt not eat of it?" Sin comes from sinners, sin does not come from holy, and if man was anything less than holy he would sin. The last Adam proves this? |

2 | Defend the Offender-Attack the Offended? | Bible general | jeremiah1five | 241663
QUOTE: (found on the page I view) "Note to viewers: This thread has been temporarily restricted from appearing on the homepage. If you submit a question, answer, or note to this thread, it will be processed and added to the thread, but will not appear on the homepage." I'd like to ask why is the Holy Spirit within me being muzzled and you attempting to control my gift and call in Christ? Christians should love honesty and truthfulness, not try to control God and God's servant. Why am I being treated so disrespectfully? First you defend the offender and false accuser and then you attack the offended. This is ungodly. |

Hello Doc. Does our Christian obedience to human institutions also apply to laws and regulations made that contradict and oppose God's Word? |

5 | Twins? | Gen 4:2 | jeremiah1five | 241589
What say you? Were Cain and Abel twins? Genesis 4:1-2 (KJV) 1 And Adam knew Eve his wife; and she conceived, and bare Cain, and said, I have gotten a man from the LORD. 2 And she again bare his brother Abel. And Abel was a keeper of sheep, but Cain was a tiller of the ground. (Isaiah 1:18) |

6 | Obedience in Love? | Lev 19:18 | jeremiah1five | 241683
Obedience in Love? Are we doing it right? Here is the original command: Leviticus 19:17-18 (KJV) 17 Thou shalt not hate thy brother in thine heart: thou shalt in any wise rebuke thy neighbour, and not suffer sin upon him. 18 Thou shalt not avenge, nor bear any grudge against the children of thy people, but thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself: I am the LORD. Leviticus, the book of Holiness and Righteousness of God. God gives His Holy Word to a Holy and peculiar people. He doesn't give His Holy Word to dogs (unbelievers/non-Covenant.) The original command of God is for the children of Israel to love the children of Israel. The language clearly states "Thou shalt not hate thy brother (member of the same tribe) in thine heart: thou shalt in any wise rebuke thy neighbour (member of another tribe), and not suffer sin upon him. Thou shalt not avenge, nor bear any grudge against the children of thy people (member of any tribe), but thou shalt love thy neighbour (member of one of the other eleven tribes) as thyself: I am the LORD. God even commanded the children of Israel to "not mingle with the heathens nor learn their ways," but they didn't obey. When Christ came He was sent to Israel. He was the fulfillment of many Prophecies and Promises God gave to Israel, and when He arrived He upheld the original command of God given in Leviticus 19:18. Christ did not change the Law. He established it. And yet I see and read everywhere Christians take in the heresy that we are supposed to love everyone, that Christ came and changed the Law by His words in Matthew, and we are to love everyone especially when God doesn't love everyone. Are you one that loves the world (worldly people) and the things of the world (things in creation)? |

7 | Who or What Dictates Your Behavior? | Deut 6:6 | jeremiah1five | 241633
The following is a no-brainer....when Israel gathered before God at the Tabernacle with every tribe placed in encampments around the Tabernacle according to the will of God they all lived, ate, worked/not worked, recreated, behaved, etc., according to God's Law as given by God them through Moses. They did not gather and then all behaved as the heathen peoples' that surrounded them (and their surrounding them was at a great distance.) Whether one wants to agree or not but being at an online site for Christians I notice that there are many rules in place that supersede God's expressed command and Word that Christians must agree to abide before (mostly after) they join the site, and if for some reason run afoul of the rules of the Forum or site (most are written using secular modes or methods of behavior) they receive punitive measures against them, even banning, which I take as excommunication and for no real sin except to violate human or western free-world, even American modes of behavior. Some places have Moderators that interfere between brethren and dish out those punitive measures against brethren and short-circuit the Holy Spirit in His application of the Word of God upon His people. In other words, the ONLY Moderator in a born again believers life is the Word of God and the Holy Spirit who uses the Word in accordance to the expressed and established Will of God. When the children of Israel gathered before the Tabernacle were they compelled to abide and follow heathen behavioral norms, or did the have the Word of God that dictated their behavior towards brethren and towards God? Deuteronomy 6:6-9 (KJV) 6 And these words, which I command thee this day, shall be in thine heart: 7 And thou shalt teach them diligently unto thy children, and shalt talk of them when thou sittest in thine house, and when thou walkest by the way, and when thou liest down, and when thou risest up. 8 And thou shalt bind them for a sign upon thine hand, and they shall be as frontlets between thine eyes. 9 And thou shalt write them upon the posts of thy house, and on thy gates. |

9 | What Did Judas Do to be called Traitor? | Luke 6:16 | jeremiah1five | 241730
Using the above Scripture, I have asked Christians if they know what it was that Judas did that earned him the title of "traitor" and no one has been able to answer this question. It seems Christians call Judas a traitor or betrayer because they read it elsewhere in a commentary or someone else says it and they parrot those same words that Judas "betrayed the Lord," but when asked if they can identify the act or acts that earned him the name of traitor no one knows.
10 | Choosing Christ? | John 3:19 | jeremiah1five | 241670
And the KJV (with emphasis): John 3:19-20 (KJV) 19 And this is the condemnation, that light (Christ) is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light (Christ), because their deeds were evil. 20 For every one that doeth evil hateth the light (Christ), neither cometh to the light (Christ), lest his deeds should be reproved. I run into so-called Christians who say they "choose/chose" Christ and became saved. But Jesus emphatically says that no one comes to Him, that all born into the world hate Him. Jesus also taught that a man will have only one master in life and when born into the world that master is darkness (evil/sin). I should note here that everyone that had relationship with God in the Scripture was called of God and none "chose" God or Christ. The disciples were called out of the world and if God or His Christ does not call anyone out of the world that they remain in the world. Let me also note here that the word "lost/loss" is always used of God's Elect when their salvation is being referred. Can one who is in bondage to sin and in the world just "up" and choose Christ without regeneration, without conversion, without the Holy Spirit? Jesus Himself elsewhere said that (salvation) for men is impossible (Matt. 19:26). According to Scripture people cannot justup and choose Christ without the Holy Spirit making the first move. Yet many Christians are deceived in this and sin against God when they meet these false Christians and put light for darkness (and also darkness for light when they treat true born of God like heathens). Are you deceived? (justme, I prefer to not forgive you since you are unwilling to repent so please do not reply here. I want nothing to do with you until you address your false accusation - thank you) |

12 | Unatoned who die experience a sting/fire | John 20:17 | jeremiah1five | 241513
If one were to experience a sting upon death (1 Cor. 15:56) because of unatoned sin, what would it feel like after the sting is experienced constantly? Would it feel like a flame or fire? Would this correspond to what the rich man experienced being in the grave, as opposed to Lazarus whose sin was atoned by Christ and there was no "sting of death/sin" and when he died experienced comfort of being in the Presence of God? To put it more succinctly, if at the moment of death you feel a sting, brace yourself... You're not in Kansas anymore. |

14 | Doc, Are you dipping the Sop same as I? | 1 Cor 12:16 | jeremiah1five | 241786
Doc, are you the one with the button and muzzling the Holy Spirit in me on the several other thread/questions by restricting me and my gift from being exercised to the other members of the Body of Christ here? Is this Reformed theology to do this thing against Christ and Christ in me? If not you, then who? |
