3 | Current referrences on quick search? | Bible general Archive 1 | Love Fountain | 27959
Dear Forum and Forum Members, This is a great site for studying and learning the Bible, however is there anyone here who has some pull to make a change on the "quick search" feature? Right now if I type a word or phrase in to search the responses I receive back are always the oldest on the subject. Is this easily changeable? How about if the responses start with the most current referrences and go back in time? What does everyone think and who here can help change or suggest this feature change which I believe will be beneficial to all who come to this site including all those now here . What do you think? |

9 | Where are the people of Dan 11:32 in NT? | Dan 11:32 | Love Fountain | 35121
Dan 11:32-36 32 And such as do wickedly against the covenant shall he corrupt by flatteries: but the people that do know their God shall be strong, and do exploits. 33 And they that understand among the people shall instruct many: yet they shall fall by the sword, and by flame, by captivity, and by spoil, many days. 34 Now when they shall fall, they shall be holpen with a little help: but many shall cleave to them with flatteries. 35 And some of them of understanding shall fall, to try them, and to purge, and to make them white, even to the time of the end: because it is yet for a time appointed. 36 And the king shall do according to his will; and he shall exalt himself, and magnify himself above every god, and shall speak marvellous things against the God of gods, and shall prosper till the indignation be accomplished: for that that is determined shall be done. KJV The people that do know there God who will be strong and do exploits and "they that understand among the people shall instruct many" in the book of Daniel are who in the New Testament? Since this is about a future time when antichrist shall stand up, who are these people that know their God and what is it they understand which they will need to instruct many? Bless you for your thoughts, Love Fountain |

11 | Do we read the same Bible? | Mark 4:13 | Love Fountain | 39494
I have always understood and accepted a particular doctrine. Then I come in contact with many who believe things that I believe to be contrary to Scripture and the doctrines that I have accepted. Now I find myself getting very upset, to the point of being offended at the belief and interpretation of others regarding the Scripture. Am I found in the parable of the sower in the following, Mark 4:16-17 16 And these are they likewise which are sown on stony ground; who, when they have heard the word, immediately receive it with gladness; 17 And have no root in themselves, and so endure but for a time: afterward, when affliction or persecution ariseth for the word's sake, immediately they are offended. KJV What do you think? What would you suggest I do? Bless you, Love Fountain |

12 | satan allowed to blind minds? | Mark 4:15 | Love Fountain | 35111
In Mark 4:15 15 And these are they by the way side, where the word is sown; but when they have heard, Satan cometh immediately, and taketh away the word that was sown in their hearts. KJV Is there a similarity between Mark 4:15 and 2Cor 4:4, where satan is called the god of this world, and is being described as the one who is blinding the minds of people? 2 Cor 4:4 4 In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them. KJV So knowing that satan has the power to blind the minds of people of this world and take away the truth that one may have heard, how can anyone judge whether or not an unbeliever has salvation, if the unbeliever is being allowed to be deceived? Is there also a lesson of mercy, through forgiveness of unbelief? Bless you for your thoughts, Love Fountain |

13 | Flesh body and Spiritual body | John 1:14 | Love Fountain | 40723
Dear Emmaus, You state,"The word "incarnate" means in the flesh." Then you state,"To be preincarnate is to be without a body." If incarnate means in the flesh, preincarnate should mean before(pre) being in the flesh. Scripture tells us we have two bodies as follows, 1 Cor 15:44 44 It is sown a natural body; it is raised a spiritual body. There is a natural body, and there is a spiritual body. KJV Since most Bible believing people believe Jesus is God and Scripture says God is a spirit(John 4:24), can we then conclude that a spirit has a spiritual body and that Jesus was in a spiritual body before being in the flesh? Bless you, Love Fountain |

14 | Spiritual understanding? | John 4:23 | Love Fountain | 30921
John 4:22-24 22 Ye worship ye know not what: we know what we worship: for salvation is of the Jews. 23 But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him. 24 God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth. KJV Rom 2:28-29 28 For he is not a Jew, which is one outwardly; neither is that circumcision, which is outward in the flesh: 29 But he is a Jew, which is one inwardly; and circumcision is that of the heart, in the spirit, and not in the letter; whose praise is not of men, but of God. KJV Deut 10:16 16 Circumcise therefore the foreskin of your heart, and be no more stiffnecked. KJV Does anyone have spiritual insights on the above verses to share? |

20 | Kin, too much ritual in baptism? | 1 Cor 12:13 | Love Fountain | 27313
Dear Kin, I am intrigued by your persistence, but I'm not quite sure what you want to say. You keep referencing to the water which will wash away our sins. I think others are saying that we are saved by grace and baptism is an outward sign of that grace we have through Jesus. It has appeared to me that most of the baptisms in the Bible that I have looked into, before the Holy Spirit came forth it was always proceeded by the Word of God. Eph 2:8 says by grace we are saved through faith and Romans 10:17 says faith comes by hearing and hearing by the Word of God. So far I'd say grace, faith and the Holy Spirit come by the Word of God which is Jesus. 1Pet 1:25 says the Word of the Lord lives forever and is the Word of the Gospel that is preached unto us and John 4:14 says that whoever drinks the water that is given by Jesus will have everlasting life. In comparison I would say that the Water is the Word which is Jesus. What do you think? I think what you are trying to say(please correct me if I am wrong) is that you feel we give way too much ritual to baptism and have somehow neglected the true meaning of what baptism is, which is eating and drinking the water of life which is the reading and absorption of the Word given through Jesus from God. Am I close? Bless you, Love Fountain |
