1 | God is the Director, not an actor | 1 Sam 9:1 | Searcher56 | 12895 | ||
God is the Director, not an actor ... from today's message. He used -the donkeys to plod around for three days. -a son, Saul, who was obedient to look for them. -a servant who was --aware, by knowing a seer was nearby --prepared, by having a quarter of a shekel --willing to ask directions from women --willing to leave so Samuel and Saul could talk -a seer, Samuel --by telling him ahead of time Saul was coming --then again as he arrived --who knew where the donkeys were, but had other priorities Saul was not seeking to be king, only the donkeys. The servant was unaware of his role and the donkeys were even more cluless. Yet, all played their part. Because of all this Saul was annointed king. God directs us to places ans people. Are we willing to play our part? Do we want God to be an actor, too? |

Steve, Haven't you heard of someone directing and acting in the same movie? Isn't that what God did? Jesus stepped into history to redeem his people. Peace, Lionstrong |
