Greetings Oneness Holy, "And David said unto Abiathar, I knew it that day, when Doeg the Edomite was there, that he would surely tell Saul: I have occasioned the death of all the persons of thy father's house." 1 Samuel 22:22 David's deception (1 Sam. 21:2) brought devastating consequences, for which he assumed full responsibility. The priests and their families were murdered (21:1-9). In the sovereignty of God, the destruction of the priests of Nob was a partial fulfillment of the prophesied judgment on Eli's house (2:27-36). But the sovereignty of God never nullifies personal responsibility for one's actions (Acts 2:23). Blessings to you, Makarios |
