Psalm 51 15 O Lord, open my lips, and my mouth will declare your praise. 16 You do not delight in sacrifice, or I would bring it; you do not take pleasure in burnt offerings. 17 The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit; a broken and contrite heart, O God, you will not despise Here are 2 verses that say the Lord does not desire, delight, take pleasure or even require burnt offerings. I think there are some other similar references that I cannot find at the moment. After reading the old testament system of tabernacle sacrafice setup by God , what are we to make of these verses ? |
