Hi, Roberto... Welcome to the forum! That is a very good question! Actually, there is always and ever has been only two possibilities for the debt we owe: we can pay it or Christ can pay it. This is part of the eternal purpose of God (Ephesians 1:11). Plans that He formed from the foundations of the earth and carried out in perfect faithfulness (Isaiah 25:1); specifically to capacitate His own to behold His glory. Christ stated in His prayer on the night of His betrayal: "Father, I desire that they also, whom You have given Me, be with Me where I am, so that they may see My glory which You have given Me, for You loved Me before the foundation of the world." (John 17:24 NASB) So the answer to how did we get there? God did it! In Him, Doc |
