1 | What is "entering into God's rest?" | NT general | ariel levin | 224961 | ||
Shalom Inquisitor, According to Revelation, it doesn't seem that heaven is our final destination, just a connecting bus ride. After a minute in heaven, we return to the old earth during the millenium or to the New Earth (which has its own New Heavens). We were created from the earth for the earth, we're not heavenly beings. In the Bible, God doesn't do things that are not necessary, so why would He create a New Earth when all we need is heaven? We're bound for the New Jerusalem on the New Earth!! (Or are you equationg heaven with that?) Thank you :o) |

I can only respond with God's Word... Heb 9:26 He then would have had to suffer often since the foundation of the world; but now, once at the end of the ages, He has appeared to put away sin by the sacrifice of Himself. 27 And as it is appointed for men to die once, but after this the judgment, 28 so Christ was offered once to bear the sins of many. To those who eagerly wait for Him He will appear a second time, apart from sin, for salvation. God bless, Inquisitor |
