The chapter and verses from Matthew that you quote sort of supports the notion of the mystery gospel in that it is the Gentiles who were from the beginning excluded from God's chosen people to then becoming a graft into the vine, and then finally becoming the recipients of the gospel because God's chosen walked away from the Truth (Acts 28:23-28). Dear Tanielu, Although redemption is worked out chronologically, His children were chosen before creation (1 Peter 1:20). The word mystery is used in Scripture in a number of places, also being associated with God's eternal purpose in the gospel. However, that is not because there are different kinds of gospels -- there is only one gospel (Galatians 1:6-9). When the Scriptures use the term mystery associated with the gospel, it is speaking of this same sense that God's will is revealed gradually through time (Ephesians 1:9-10). God does not have a Plan B. Nor does God have alternative methods of salvation throughout time.
