edb: All of the things you mention are true. But in reality this becomes a situation ethics sort of thing. My wife and I have talked about this at length, and we have said the no matter what to follow Christ is by far most important. If the choices are clear and plane than the solution is clear, to not live together, and be best friends. Many women and men have the beliefe that one wife or husband is enough and to remarry is not an option. If God Word says that take care of us I believe it. I can tell you and others as well, that raising a large family is nor easy, it takes faith, and we do walk by faith. So if a couple who are in the situations you tell of and they believe God wants then in marriage they must rely on the fact He will provide, and if the don't believe so, do not get married. That's not heartless, it's Biblical. justme |

Or maybe our laws need to be changed :-) so that people that want to be right with God and to remarry don't have to forsake all they have worked for through the years. | ||||||

edb: I totally agree, how cna this be done? On the state or fedral level? Unless people know the right way to go about this time could be wasted. I think with the gay marriage laws now pretty much allowed by the IRS perhaps this might be easier to do than once thought before. Where do you think the next step is? Are you willing to help start tis up in some way? Awareness is the key to start any movement. How serious are you about this? justme |

My only involvement is of people asking if I can marry them in the eyes of God but not in eyes of the state. I have to tell them I can't but I understand and sympathize with their position. I think the best crusader for this cause would be someone that is having the problem. Possibly someone that married and lost their benefits. Then they could tell their story from their experience. All I have is second hand info. |
