Dear The Lockman Foundation. I wonder if you can answer a question for me. A member at my local church said that one of your translations of the Bible contatined the text " If you hate the Antichrist you will go to hell" or something along those lines I told this person this was nonsense and that there is no such verse in the Bible. I am I correct - There is no such verse in the Bible? Many Thanks Rob |

Dear Rob, I am not a member of the Lockman Foundation, but a user of the forum for Bible study. 1st, as far as I know, I am not aware of such verse in the NASB or AMP version of the site provided. 2nd, I think it is the member at your church who should submit evidence of prove for such notion or verse because he (or she) is the person claiming such verse exists. I think Azure is right on target here. This concept is very much alien to the teaching of the Bible. I don't think there's any scripture to even suggest such a thing. Your friend should be challenged to furnish the verse to which he/she is referring. Thanks be to God you're there to defend His Word, 1 Peter 3:15 But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts, and always be ready to give a defense to everyone who asks you a reason for the hope that is in you, with meekness and fear; God bless you in your studies, Inquisitor |
