1 | Is God required to love his neighbor ? | Bible general Archive 4 | eternaleveningstar (ees) | 220890
Is God required to love his neighbor as he loves himself, and who are his neighbors, if any? In the same vein, if I see a neighbour in real need and can fulfill it but don't, I accept that that is sin. However, if God sees a real need (and only He can fulfill it), but doesn't, that is not sin. How can the one be sin and not the other? |

2 | Is God required to love his neighbor ? | Bible general Archive 4 | srbaegon | 220891
Hello ees, Your questions are built on the premise of God having neighbors. Luke 10:25-37 should make clear that a neighbor is someone who is on the same level (for lack of a better term) as another. One human-being showing kindness to another is being a neighbor. God has nobody on the same level. He is above all and infinite--without equal, therefore it is impossible for God to be a neighbor.
