the Koran: why is it so hard to understand? why is it so vague and ambiguous? Why is it supposedly only truly understandable in Arabic? Shouldn't the "Word of Allah" be a revelation ot all humanity? | ||||||

The Koran was written by man, and not by divine inspiration. It was written piecemeal in an attempt to "create" a new religion, by promoting one false god over a number of false gods. Mohummed wrote sections to answer his detractors as he had to somehow "document" his authority to do whatever he wanted. The result is disjointed and conflicted, and I am not surprised you find it difficult to understand. I find it so also. It is not like the Bible, which was written by divine inspiration, and is the True God's revelation to mankind. Stick with the Bible! :-) Love in Christ, Mark |
