Doc, in re the writings of Ellen White that you quoted, in spite of all their uncontested elegance, felicity and charm, one is forced to conclude, upon close examination of the original Greek theological term which properly describes her flights of fancy, and in light of the Holy Scriptures and centuries-old Christian orthodoxy, her writings are best defined by the Greek word, balonai, which is literally and accurately translated by the English word "baloney." Indeed. I believe the King James translators used "vain jangling" (1 Timothy 1:6b)... or, perhaps, that was some similar Greek word. :-) | ||||||
