Hello UncleCnn, Welcome to the forum. Not sure what you mean by "is it Biblical". Christmas is of course the celebration of the birth of Christ. It was not celebrated as an annual holiday until around the forth or fifth century as I remember reading, and If my recollection serves me, it was not referred to as Christmas until some time after that. But the Bible certainly celebrates the birth of Christ, giving a significant amount of space in fortelling it, and telling about it. For a very rich example I would direct you to the book of Luke and just have you begin reading in the first chapter. Early in Chapter 2 you will definately see celebration taking place. As for the exact date that Christ was born, we do not know. But we won't let that stop us from recognizing :) Jeff |
