Hi Tim, I look at this word the same as you do, although there is one place I haven't been able to reconcile, and perhaps you might have an insight to share. In Revelation 13:16 "And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads:" It seems that not everyone will actually receive the mark, because there will be "sheep" which Jesus will separate from the "goats" after He appears. Do you have any thoughts on this? Love in Christ, Mark |

Greetings Mark! I would say that v. 17 would indicate that some don't receive the mark, so the 'all' of v. 16 would probably refer to his intentions or his order. Your Brother in Christ, Tim Moran |

Hi Tim, That's a good point. I think then that I will do a word study of poiew (translated causes) to see if there are other scriptures that have the translation of something like "begins to do", or "sets out to do", which would fit with what you are saying. Thank you for for input! Love in Christ, Mark |
