This posting is about a dead guy named Joseph Campbell. Many of you may or may not have heard about him. My mother, loves this guy. He's in Hell right now I guarentee you. He embraced "everything" as my mother says. Shes a New Age person or whatever, along with my grandmother, whom my mother lives with. My sister as well loves Joseph Campbell. She is a wicken. All three of these people have something in common. They don't know Christ. I have tried everything, and yes I am still praying for them. My mother's embraced this "New Age" stuff for about 9 years and my grandmother for about 12 or 13. My sister is the one I am really conscerned about. She's only 13 and is already saying to me that basically Satan is comforting her. She has these drawings on her door in which display a hideous creature that has fangs and a sort of upside-down cross right in the middle of the face. The fangs are dripping with blood (I am being this detailed because I need the type of advice I am looking for). There's a girl version of this as well and both, she saids, are going to be used in a science fiction/fantasy book she is going to be writing. She's so vulnerable to Satan and IT JUST PISSES ME OFF WHEN ALL I CAN DO IS JUST SIT BACK AND WATCH HER LIFE GO DOWN THE DRAIN!! I know where she is becasue I have been there. I used to be Satanist. I don't want God to reveal Himself to her in the way that He revealed Himself to me. I just want to see her go to heaven. I don't want to come home one day to find out that my sister died of suicide or something and feel like I could have done somthing else. Is there anything I can do? Please help me. How can I counter attack this Joseph Campbell guy with Gods love, grace and mercy? Is there anyone out there who can give me some advice?

Jesusfreak: Regeneration is a supernatural work of the Holy Spirit. It is accomplished solely by the power of the Holy Spirit through the instrumentality of the word of God. Therefore, your role in your loved one's spiritual lives is limited to two things: You can be the messenger who brings the message of the gospel of Christ to them. And you can pray for them. But don't take either role lightly. The gospel is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes (Rom. 1:16), and effective prayer of a righteous man can accomplish much (James 4:16). ..... While is is probable that your post was written with fervor and under some emotional strain, I still think it appropriate to enjoin you not to use on this Forum such coarse expressions as the one that appears in all caps in your post. Christian ladies and gentlemen and perhaps children read these pages; therefore, let's watch our language! --Hank

I do regret and apologize for my language. It was wrong for me to use such words. It make me extremely angery and leaves me in anguish to sit back be able to do nothing but now I know that the power of prayer is something I need to fight back with. Thank you for giving me those verses Hank. Please be praying for my relatives. I do not live with them and they live more than 5.5 hours away from me so I can not have much of an influence on them but I think what God is trying to tell me out of all this is just to let it go and just to pray for her. That I already planted the seed and that all I can do for her now is pray and hope. Thank you Hank.

Jesusfreak: Thank you so much for responding. In an e-mail exchange with one of the other Forum members this evening, your situation was mentioned, along with the words, "My heart and prayers go out to Jesusfreak and his family." I'm confident, dear brother in Christ, that the prayers of many Christians on this Forum will be for you and your family. As DocTrinsograce mentioned in his post, let the members of your family see Christ at work in your life. We should life lives that glorify God, remembering that our actions can be a powerful testimony to Him who died for us. In the words attributed to Francis of Assisi, "Preach the gospel -- if necessary, use words." Grace to you and may God richly bless you. --Hank
