Hi Aixen7z4, You have told us that you are a counsellor, I believe. It has been a long time since I studied Psychology and received my college degree in Sociology, but you are developing a new style or method. You talk to others about your challenging patient and hope that he hears about it and learns from it all. I know that Psychologists don't want to just blurt out to their patients all the things that he sees wrong with them. He has to be patient and take the time consuming efforts to allow the person to discover for himself what is needed. Your method as shown here is questionable at the least; even if it were in a spirit of gentleness. If you want to correct my trespass or fault or falling away then put forth the effort and find the Scriptures to refute it. In this case, being filled with holy spirit. I challenge all of us to find the Scriptures that are worded in such a way that a Person is undoubtedly spoken of when they speak of being filled with the *holy *spirit. I would also say that if you are not interested in capitalization, then you should go to a site other than one sponsored by the Lockman Foundation which has been courageous and bold and thoughtful in determining and trying to determine the correct capitalization of Deity. They have been courageously interpreting the Scriptures so that we know simply by their capitalization that they believe in the deity of Christ. 1) Filled with the (h)Holy (s)Spirit: How does one know that this is the Person? Luke 1:15, Luke 1:41, Luke 1:67, Luke 4:1, Acts 2:4, Acts 4:8, Acts 4:31, Acts 9:17, Acts 13:9. From the heart, Ray |

Ray: Aixen does not need to refute your unproven lower case "holy spirit" theory. When you make an assertion, the burden of proof is on you. The person who challenges your assertion doesn't need to prove anything. The Lockman Foundation is not presently "trying to determine the correct capitalization of Deity." They made their determination years ago when they published the Amplified Bible and the New American Standard Bible. You're not backing up Lockman's capitalization decisions. You've been questioning why they haven't capitalized everything you -- not God, not the human authors of the Bible -- every pronoun that you feel needs capitalization. You need to review Forum guidelines for posting. Siding with Jehovah's Witnesses on the false doctrine of "holy spirit" does not exactly make you a champion of truth. --Kalos |

Hi Kalos, I suppose that I can go through the verses of being "filled with [the]holy spirit" and clarify what I am saying. 1) The Lockman Foundation and their latest copyright has many changes in capitalization; most notably the word "Light". 2) I do not side with the Jehovah's Witnesses on their false doctrine of not recognizing the Holy Spirit as a Person. As you should know from recent posts to you, I do however agree with their lower case holy spirit when the verses talk about being filled. 3) My personal copy of the Scriptures, (for most of the books), has the total number of nouns and pronouns of words of Deity being divisible by three. I believe that that is indicative of a triune God. Of course the Jehovah's Wtiness does not believe in the triune God, but I definately do. From the heart, Ray |
