Greetings New Christian! I'll give you the short answer my friend: There is no CORRECT ONE! What I mean is simply this, translation is a very subjective and inprecise process. No one translation will ever be agreed with 100 percent of the time. The real question is which translations are most accurate and most reliable. Most of the modern translations do a very good job of translation. The NASB, NIV, KJV, NKJV, and many others are fine translations. The trick is to find one that you will read and then read it. :-) p.s. - As long as it is a real translation, not one of the many cult fakes. Your Brother in Christ, Tim Moran |

I have recently found The Message bible. I read it and study from my NIV. I find that the parephase of the Message helps me to see the bible and my NIV helps me to understand it. By "see the bible" i mean to feel it and get a better perspective of the life and times for the people of that day, hoping I can beter apply that to my day and time. | ||||||

Greetings new christian, I have a message bible that I've had for almost a year. It's a great read and I like going over material that I've already done in my studies I find it refreshing and oft times encouraging. But it's not geared for indepth study. Thats where a good study bible comes in real handy. Just keep 2 Timothy 2:15 in mind and you cant go wrong. In Christ, lionheart |
