NGKH Your right to be absent from the body (dead) is to be present with the Lord. I would say the biggest significance of Jesus' second coming is for those alive. They will never have to walk down that mysterious path of death. Not to mention that sin will finally be dealt with and we the children of God can live as God intended from the beginning. I think it near impossible for any mortal to imagine the beauty and wonder of this world without sin. EdB |

3 | Whats gonna happen in the 2nd coming | Bible general Archive 2 | ngkh | 145280
Thanks EdB. Then does it mean that we should look forward to His coming but before He comes, certain events must happen, right?. I was told that Isreal need to be restored to fulfill the prophesies but not sure if there are any other events besides what was stated in Revelations and 1 Thessolonians (Rapture).

NGKH While we usually have 20 20 hindsight our foresight is usually not 100 percent. Having said that, yes it seems that the restoration of Israel was last prophecy that needed to be fulfilled before Jesus' return. However until Jesus does return we have no way of knowing if there may be a prophecy we are missing and it has yet to be fulfilled. We are told we will know the season not the month, week, day, hour or minute. Matthew 24:36-44 (NASB) 36 "But of that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, nor the Son, but the Father alone. 37 "For the coming of the Son of Man will be just like the days of Noah. 38 "For as in those days before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered the ark, 39 and they did not understand until the flood came and took them all away; so will the coming of the Son of Man be. 40 "Then there will be two men in the field; one will be taken and one will be left. 41 "Two women will be grinding at the mill; one will be taken and one will be left. 42 "Therefore be on the alert, for you do not know which day your Lord is coming. 43 "But be sure of this, that if the head of the house had known at what time of the night the thief was coming, he would have been on the alert and would not have allowed his house to be broken into. 44 "For this reason you also must be ready; for the Son of Man is coming at an hour when you do not think He will. From the description in 2 Timothy 3:1-5 (NASB) 1 But realize this, that in the last days difficult times will come. 2 For men will be lovers of self, lovers of money, boastful, arrogant, revilers, disobedient to parents, ungrateful, unholy, 3 unloving, irreconcilable, malicious gossips, without self-control, brutal, haters of good, 4 treacherous, reckless, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, 5 holding to a form of godliness, although they have denied its power; Avoid such men as these. We can see these traits are becoming more and more prevalent today. The world is changing rapidly and we see humanity becoming wickeder and more corrupt. I believe we are near the day of our Lord second coming but no one can tell us exactly how close. I do know this, each day we live we get one day closer therefore we should be looking up for our redemption draws near. EdB |
