Doc You mentioned using Bible software. I just completed being part of the Beta Test for the now released Wordsearch 7. It is a very interesting product with some absolutely great features. Wordsearch and Bible Explorer merged about a year ago and this new release is a combination of those two products. They took the strongest features of the previous products Wordsearch and Bible Explorer and combined them into a powerful and very user friendly product. The new product also includes a very powerful word processor which can meet most word processing needs but also integrates notes and personal commentary into Bible passages. I’m in the process of now placing some the information I learned here on the forum into it now. Then every time I reference a verse that has commentary/note keyed to it or references the verse, Wordsearch will open and show me the commentary/note. It is truly like having a unlimited margin to make notes in. It comes with a full list of Bible translations and has most everything the Lockman foundation publishes available. About 8 years ago I had to replace my Bible and it took me nearly 6 months to copy over all my notes from my old Bible to the the new. Since then I have added another 8 years of notes. I'm hoping to now copy all my notes using this new technology into Wordsearch, then after backing it all up I will never hopefully ever have to go through this process again. :-) EdB |

Awesome, brother Ed! I wish your notes were online. It would be cool to have the benefit of all of your knowledge and study. (Although I appreciate getting some of it here!) On the other hand, sometimes having all these tools at our fingertips makes us less than disciplined when it comes to our own diligent study of the Word. Thank you, Brother Ed! In Him, Doc |
