My previous question was not answered. You only spoke of fornication. Fornication is NOT defined as pre-marital sex. If a person ONLY has sex with one person for their entire life, and likewise the other only has sex with them, it is not adultry or sexual promisquity as discussed in the Bible. When two people unite, they become one flesh. In other words, they are married in God's eyes. How would it be a sin if they never sleep with another person? I haven't found anywhere in the Bible that this is wrong. It only talks about adultry, fornication, and sexual immorality... The verses that you gave did not say anything about pre-marital sex. Please answer my question | ||||||

Hello cakers, Fornication is a broad term for sex beyond its boundaries, scope, purpose, etc. Therefore, fornication applies to pre-marital sex. The proper place for sex (as has already been mentioned) is in a monogamous marital relationship. Heb 13:4 (ESV) Let marriage be held in honor among all, and let the marriage bed be undefiled, for God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterous. Here there is a definite dichotomy established: sex in marriage on one side and sex outside marriage on the other. Within any group of people, there are established practices and rituals which are performed to satisfy legal requirements and recognize the union. Scripture does not specify any particular ritual, because how a person is married is less important than the fact that it occurred. Steve |
