EdB, I did not ask why the topic was restricted. I asked for a list of the doctrines represented by this site. Your opinions are for another time and another discussion. Please do not expound on the topic in question, as I want answers, and I do not want this thread restricted as well. If you know the doctrines, please list them as I requested. "Anything, as long as I'm in fact seeking truth," has led to my question. If you do not know the doctrines, then please allow someone else to list them. Thank you for your response. Ancient |

Ancient Attitudes like this have a tendency to get us into trouble. Again there is no particular topic that a no no. However lousy attitudes and argumentative natures and cultic ideas are. Once again if someone is seeking truth they are at liberty to ask any question related to the Bible they may have. However if after a time it is found that they aren't looking for an answer but rather a soapbox from which they can expound their rhetoric and that rhetoric is not promoting Christ and the basic tenets of the Bible they are usually restricted. Personal attacks is obviously another reason threads get restricted. As for the doctrines represented by this site that is very easy. Every doctrine found in the Bible and accepted as authentic doctrine by the general Christian community. Many people find doctrine they feel are in the Bible, which aren’t accepted by the general Christian community, these are considered aberrant teachings and are treated as such. If your looking for a list of aberrant teachings perhaps you will find what you looking for at Equip.org or one of the other apologetic web sites. As for a list of topics you can discuss let your motivate be you guide. If you have an honest question ask, if your asking to gain attention, make a point, harm some else’s faith or for some other self centered reason remain silent. If your going to make a comment on someone else’s question first ask yourself is this really a Biblically supported answer or is it my hot button for the day, does my answer edify or tear down, is my answer directing a person back to authentic Christianity as defined by the church is it taking them down a path I have found, does this answer increase of decrease a person’s faith, and lastly could it be a reason for someone to stumble?
