Greetings TGC! Excellent point! I'll share another good question for JW's with you. Why is it that Is. 43:10 specifically states that His witness will know that there is 'no other god' but Jehovah, yet the JW's teach that Jesus is another god? :-) Your Brother in Christ, Tim Moran |

Copy of my reply to tgc: On earth you may recall that God's son neither said nor did anything except what his Father instructed. Would you imagine the same to be true when he conducts himself in the heavenly realm? When and whether Michael or Jesus refuses to or chooses to rebuke the devil or one of his demons, I do not question, but trust his decision will please his God, Jehovah. The evidence for Michael being Jesus is strong, and your attempt to connect these two events fails to prove much. Do you ridicule the apostle Paul? 1 Cor 8:5,6 states: "For even if there are so-called gods, whether in heaven or on earth (as indeed there are many "gods" and many "lords"), yet for us there is but one God, the Father, from whom all things came and for whom we live; and there is but one Lord, Jesus Christ, through whom all things came and through whom we live." There is only one God (with a capital G) the Father Jehovah. Can you respond to that? |

bstudent3, First things first. The reference I made proves alot it shows Micheal as a subbortant of God but Jesus as His equal. Now yes I can respond to your statement. CONTEXT CONTEXT CONTEXT! The verses you refer to are part of a much longer passage addressing foods sacfriced to idols. Back up to verse 4 of 1 Cor. 8 and what does Paul say " There fore concerning the ating of things sacfriced to idols, we know that an idol is nothing in the world and that there is no other God but one." If you would like to have an understanding of this read all chapter 8 in context. tgc |

bstudent3, The question is not do I disagree with what Paul has written under the authority of the Holy Spirit, but do you. My refernce for this is 1 Cor. chapter 15. Here Paul addresses the resurrected Christ as a reality. He goes so far as to say without the resurrection of Christ we are hopless. The fact that this is a bodily resurrection is very clearly shown by Jesus Himself in Luke 24:36-44. So if your doctrin concerning the resurrection is correct the bible is wrong. No offense but I will side with Jesus and what he says on this. tgc | ||||||

Resurrection to a Paradise earth, to live forever in true peace and security, in perfect health, with no threat of societal corruption - I can see why people would not want that! But I can't understand why people, like the Pope, that believe they're going to heaven (to do what they don't know) have triple bypass surgery at age 80 to cling to a few more days of life. "Flesh and blood cannot inherit God's Kingdom." (1 Cor 15:48-50) Why do you need your body to be "raptured" with you while all those turned to dust don't? Did you ever read about the angels that dined with Abraham? How did the resurrected Jesus eat a meal and walk through walls? I don't know, do you? But he did! A God that could be stopped from fulfilling his original purpose for creating a physical universe with an awesome life sustaining earth and human inhabitants perfectly designed to enjoy it is not much of a God. I hope your's has not allowed any creation of his to foil his purposes. What Jehovah has purposed will not fail. (Isaiah 55:11) I hope you'll be there with his witnesses to enjoy it all. Sincerely. |
