Hi, Nowadays, throughout the world, itis not uncommon to read reports that christians, muslims, jews, buddhists and hindus are coming together to offer prayers for peace and tolerance. Two years ago, such a gathering was unthinkable. 1.Does this mean that ultimately all re- ligions lead to the one and same God? 2.Or,does this mean that every religion has it's own God but they have come to terms to respect and recognise each other's God? Your comments, please. With love in Christ. FytRobert |

FytRobert I think it actually means we have so compromised what each one believes in the name of tolerance that we are quickly approaching a universal religion. Much to the delight of the Humanist. There is no way for a serious Christian, Jew or Muslim to ever consider the god of Buddhism which is actual nothing more than a philosophical state of being Nirvana. Nor is it possible to for the monotheist to consider the gods of Hinduism. The god of Islam is estranged to the God of Judaism and Christianity. Judaism makes the Lord of Christianity either a liar or lunatic because He couldn’t be the Messiah He claimed to be. So for these groups to come together in common prayer is as ridiculous as forming a prayer circle with Satan. EdB |
