I'm looking for a study bible... Can anyone help me find a study bible that has non-calvinistic, non-dispensational notes? I have just about all of the most popular study bibles (NIV, Ryrie, Oxford, etc.) but I am looking for something to compare with these others. If anyone can be of help I would appreciate it! Ischus |

Ischus Non Calvinistic isn't hard but non dispensational is. However I might suggest Nelson's Open Bible. There is actually an out of print copy that is older called the “Nelson’s New Open Bible” that I prefer even more. The Full Life Study Bible that gives a Pentecostal perspective. The King James Study Bible from Nelson. Very neutral but doesn’t address issues you probably want to compare. There is a Dake Bible but I hesitate to recommend it, it is dispensational but as far from calvinism as you can get. I offer a warning, Dake was brilliant but at times he had some “interesting” ideas. 95 percent of the his writing is pretty good but that 5 percent oh my! His notes throughout the Bible almost out number actual Bible text and he has some excellent views on Christian living and holiness. EdB |
