Hi Dorai, Lord: means supreme Authority (Greek) Jesus: means Saviour "for he shall save his people from their sins" Matt 1:21 Christ: means Messiah,the anointed one (Greek) The Lord Jesus Christ, is the supreme authority of the whole universe. He is the Saviour of all mankind, who know and believe him, who are called "his people". Christ is the miracle working power of the anointing that destroys the yoke off of his people. Isa 61:1-11, Isa 10:27, Isa 14:24-25, Isa 58:6,9 The difference? One name is placed before another saying, Christ Jesus: the anointed Saviour or Jesus Christ: The Saviour, the anointed one. Lord and Christ, are descriptive names given to Jesus describing his authority, and calling of God the Father. They are not part of his family name. Always in Christ, C.S.M. |
