Does Jesus have any of Mary's Chromosomes/Blood/DNA since he is Sinless and she was born in sin. I know Jesus was God's begotten son, but, does He have anything of Mary i.e. Chromosomes/Blood/DNA, since he is Sinless and she was born in sin. |

aldkathy, I think it is safe to say that Jesus had his mother's DNA. Otherwise Mary would be an incubator or surrogate not His mother. There are many Christians, in fact the majority of Christians in the world who believe that Mary was not born in sin. But that is another question. :-) Emmaus |

I know, 23 Chormosomes needed from the mother and 23 from the father, but this would be no problem for GOD? (There was no woman present for Adam. Mary had children after Jesus was born immaculately. James, Jude, Joses and their sisters as pointed out at the Wedding in Cana. I still wonder how since all humans since the fall are born in sin, how we account for Jesus' sinless humanity. I know there is an answer but so far I haven't received one. Straighten me out!
4 | Does Jesus Have Mary's Blood or DNA etc. | NT general Archive 1 | Emmaus | 121017
aldkathy, Far be it from me to straighten anybody out. Jesus was born sinless because he was God incarnate and God is without sin, although He was later tempted like us in all things, but did not sin. As to the question of how this inter-relates to Mary: go to the Quick Search box to the right of the screen and enter the number 26887. That will take you to a thread which has a pretty spirited and thorough discussion of the subject. Welcome to the Forum. Emmaus |

I've never been good at straightening people out either, Emmaus, and tend to shy away from trying to. Nor have I known anyone else who was particularly good at straightening people out save one grim old gentleman I met many years ago. He was named Wesley Post, but the townspeople called him Post Mortem because he was the town's mortician. Although his services were rendered rather too late in the life cycle to do much good, he was nontheless adept in straightening people out. Now that I look back upon the "ministry" of old Post Mortem, it seems to me that the best ministry of a Christian is not to make the vain attempt himself to straighten anyone out in a spiritual sense, but to introduce him, by word and deed, to Christ and His word and let Him do the straightening out. --Hank
