WAS JESUS'S DEATH ON THE CROSS FOR ALL HUMANITY OR FOR THE ELECT? | ||||||

I believe that Jesus died for ALL humanity and ALL humanity has the opportunity for salvation because of this great sacrifice. Acts 2:21 "And everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved." Romans 10:8-13 8 But what does it say? "The word is near you; it is in your mouth and in your heart," that is, the word of faith we are proclaiming: That if you confess with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved. As the Scripture says, "Anyone who trusts in him will never be put to shame." For there is no difference between Jew and Gentile--the same Lord is Lord of all and richly blesses all who call on him, for, "Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved." 1 Tim 2:3-6 3 This is good, and pleases God our Savior, who wants all men to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth. For there is one God and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus, who gave himself as a ransom for all men--the testimony given in its proper time. |
