John "Correct me if I am wrong, but, I don't recall any calvinists calling for a "stop this endless debate over Arminianism (or Pentacostalism, for that matter)." That in itself is an indicator of the nature of the problem. Only a very foolish person keeps running into the same wall. Especially when that person realizes each time he hits the wall the wall thickens offering more resistance. I would think if Calvinist were open to receive anything you would have realized all you have managed to do is reinforce the resolve to reject your position. John at one time I would call myself an dedicated student of the Reformation and Othrodoxy. In the past I have come to the defense of many what I would call true Calvinist that found themselves on a different side of the fence from others on this forum. So your accusation that I want the forum to reflect only my views is patently untruth and provably wrong. I will say since you and Joe being what I see as hyper Calvinist, have made one aspect of this topic of the Reformation so odorous to me and many others I have completely lost any interest in further study. My neighbor who is a true Calvinist had noticed this in me and questioned me about it. I showed him some of Joe’s and your responses to me and he walked away shaking his head. His one comment was, “These are responses from embittered men that try to put a capstone on things God simply has not yet revealed. No man can explain the mysteries of God even Calvin did not try. These responses show people that dogmatically attribute to Calvin’s teachings things Calvin never said. An they do it in a most un-Christ like manner.” I have invited him more than once to become involved in some of these threads and he was refused saying to him it is pointless. You read anything you want into this but this came from a biased (Calvinist) observer. I might be very wrong but I believe with all my heart the Berean’s would be repulsed by any comparison of what they did and what takes place on this forum especially on the subject of Calvinism. I would think if Calvinist were open to receive anything you would have realized all you have managed to do is reinforce the resolve to reject your position." Do you not realize that my reponse to your call for censorship, is my reaction to your un-ending complaints against reformed theology? Did you not expect to hear from the other side? Of course, as a calvinist, any change that occurs we believe to be in accordance with God's will, and ascribe all the Glory to Him. John |

John Always the underdog, trodden down and picked on. You asked in a thread between me and someone else what one thing I would like to see first. I said I would like to see the endless, non productive C/A debate ended. You then said isn't it interesting we never see a Calvinist make such request. I basically responded no. For the record I make no complaints about Reform theology. My objection is your presentation of what you call Calvinism. In my view Calvinism was one part of Reform theology. I believe you do an injustice to suggest that Calvinism represents Reformed Theology. I further believe what you present as Calvinism is very different than what Calvin believed or taught. EdB |

Dear Ed, I really don't consider myself a victim. My prayer is that God will grant me the grace to be a defender of the faith. John |
