Brother Phil , I Just came out of the Hospitol with Phnumonia in both lungs and saw your responce.Lets look a this again, There was at no time in scripture where the passages conflicted with each other or contridicted each other. lets look at Eccl. 3; 19-20, for that which befalleth the sons of man befalleth beasts. Speaking of the body and spirit at death. When luke stated that the rich man lifted his eyes out of torment ,it was a litteral passage because the Bible is relateing the difference in the death of rightous and unrightous. Look at Isa; 66;22-24 and Isa 14;15 thru 20, My question is can all these passages be concidered as parables, medifores, stories or anything else except fact that God is trying to give us as a warning to hold on untill the end. As one who has died I feel especially strongly about the fact that the Christian goes to sleep and rest while the lost they die and go to punishment ,Hell, after death and there is full knowledge of their suroundings. There was a man who was dieing in the Hospitol of cancer ,a preacher went in to pray with him and was told that it was too late for him to repent, the man dieing said "I feel the heat and see the flames its comming up around my legs.'Then he died screaming. Ive had two relatives that have rejected Jesus that have died in such a way and I will never be convinced that people who die without Jesus dont know whats going on around them.just a thought, have a beautiful day. Thanks for listining and I would appreciate any comment from any one else. But remember, Even thou one rise from the dead, they shall still not believe, im not going to convince everyone .

Comparing Psalm 16:10 and footnote with Acts 2:31, we see that "Sheol," or the grave is the equivalent of "Hades." See Luke 16:23, footnote, NIV. What is the condition of people in Sheol or Hades? Ecclesiastes 9:5, 6, 10 answers: They "know nothing." Their love, hate and jealousy have "vanished." There is no "working nor planning nor knowledge nor wisdom." (Compare Job 3:11-19; 14:10-15; Psalm 104:29; John 11:11-14, 23-25.) Luke 16:13-31 is a parable as verse 26 shows. Compare verse 31 with John 11:47-53; 12:10, 11. Isaiah 14 is talking about the death of the Babylonian world empire; compare verses 18-20. Isaiah 66:24 is merely referring to "dead bodies" burning. Jesus contrasted "hell" with "life" in Mark 9:45-48. Incidently, in these verses, "hell" is the translation of the Greek "geenna," not "hades." "Gehenna" or the "lake of fire" refers to "the second death." (Revelation 20:10, 14) |

I can tell that were not going to come to an understanding on this, but thats ok.for the Bible says its better to have a liveing dog than a dead lion. In verse 5 an 6 its talking about that when a man dies his earthly ability to feel or experience these things are gone, and not that he cannot feel or experience those things of death. For the body without the spirit is dead...the scripture tells us that the ones in Hell move aside to make way for the new ones entering in.One last question, the bible says,Isa,14;9 thru., Hell from beneath is moved for thee to meet thee at thy comming; it stureth up the dead for thee, even all the chief ones of the earth; it has raised up their thrones all the kings of the nations. And they shall speak and say unto thee, My question is this, is this also a prable and also everyone of scripture that states that someone speeks from hell.? I think God is trying to tell us something dont you? Have a nice day.
