Galatians 1:6-8 "I am amazed that you are so quickly deserting Him who called you by the grace of Christ, for a different gospel; which is really not another; only there are some who are disturbing you and want to distort the gospel of Christ. But even if we, or an angel from heaven, should preach to you a gospel contrary to what we have preached to you, he is to be accursed!" The Mormons claim that Joseph Smith was told by the angel Moroni - where to dig in the wilderness to find the golden tablets - "another gospel of Jesus Christ." |

Would it be a stretch to say that Joseph Smith's "big dig" in the wilderness was like a feather blowing in the wind? No angel named Moroni led him to find any golden tablets containing "another gospel of Jesus Christ." Yankee Doodle stuck a feather in his hat and called it macaroni. Joseph Smith stuck a feather in his and called it a revelation from Moroni. At least Yankee Doodle had sense enough to know a feather from "another gospel of Jesus Christ"! But Yankee Doodle who called a feather macaroni and Smith who called it a vision from Moroni were both rather confused in the noodle and not qualified to "pasta" a church. :-) --Hank | ||||||
