1 | The origins of the Seven Deadly Sins | Bible general Archive 1 | Vampira III | 67441 | ||
Hello, I am an English degree student who is currently studying Literature and the Renaissance. I would be very grateful if someone could tell me the texts in which I might find the origins of "The Seven Deadly Sins". I am aware that they were written by a monk called Gregorious, that they are primarily Catholic and they are not to be found in the Bible itself. However, I would like to know where they ARE written, where the original concept came from, and how they found their way into the mainstream consciousness. I am especially eager to know if they can be found in The Golden Legend. Many Thanks Vampira III |
