Why do believers claim their tithes on their taxes? The Word says the tithe belongs to God.........since it belongs to God they why it being claimed to receive something from it.......... When God has promised that HE will open a window and pour out a blessing that we will not have room enough to receive. |

Greetings Lifechanger! I can't speak for everyone, but as me, I claim my tithes on my taxes because I can! :-) It is legal to do so and there is nothing in Scripture which speaks against it. Therefore, I'll take every break in taxes I can legally get! Your Brother in Christ, Tim Moran |

Greetings Lifechanger! Please, just call me Tim! We are all friends here. Besides, 'Mr.' makes me feel old! :-) The answer is 'Yes'. I paid the tithe to God! I simply paid a little less to Uncle Sam because of the tax exemption. The tax break in no way effects the amount of the tithe, it only changes the amount of my tax!
