1 | Book of Jasher | Bible general Archive 1 | EdB | 17705
I really hesitate to bring this up, but I’ll trust God to see it goes no further than He wants it. Is anyone familiar with the Book of Jasher mentioned in Joshua 10:13 and 2 Sam 1:18? I know there are various copies on internet but, none to me seem even remotely reliable. If anyone is knowledgeable about the Book of Jasher would you let me know. EdB |

2 | Book of Jasher | Bible general Archive 1 | wordoer | 30124
The Book of Jasher is available from several sources , The ISBN # is 0-934666-25-3, Library of Congress catalog card number 87-72939, Cost should be 10 to 12 dollars. This is a most interesting book that gives a lot of between the lines information to the scripture, that gives a great amount of insight and understanding. This book in no way would hold any authority over scripture ,but serves as an excellent history book, And I think valuable to ones studies. If you are unable to locate a copy , post to me with a request for a source and I will give it. wordoer |

3 | Jashar...why is it excluded? | Bible general Archive 1 | nimrod2 | 90810
Who decided that the book of Jashar would not be included in the Holy Bible? Did this occur through the Council of Nicea? I thought parts of Jashar were found in some of the fragments of the Dead Sea Scrolls? Is this true?
4 | Jashar...why is it excluded? | Bible general Archive 1 | EdB | 90854
Since it is Old Testament the men that compiled the Septuagint would be responsible. Since the Septuagint existed at the time of Christ and He probably read from it. Jesus would have told us if we were missing a book of not. And no validated parts of the Book Jasher have ever been found. EdB |
