1 | Why the actual word "God"? | Bible general Archive 1 | Love Fountain | 27239 | ||
Dear Nolan, I agree, I think we should "honor Him and adore Him" also, but why would His name(YHVH) be unappreciable. By His name being unappreciable doesn't this seem like He may not want us to Honor Him or adore Him? I tell people my name as a beginning point, so we can begin a bond in friendship and grow together in love. If my name was unappreciable what would my friends think? I am sure God has His reasons but these are somethings that come to my mind and when I meet Him, this is one of many questions I have to ask. What do you think? Thanks, Love Fountain |

Dear Love Fountain, Truthfully, I do not know. I believe that it is out of extreme and an almost paranoia at using His name, that they just avoid it altogether. They are afraid of somehow misusing His name, saying that it is too Holy to say. I, like you, initiate conversations and friendships by beginning with my real name, which is Nolan.. :-) I think that it is good for us to use His name, since "all who call upon the name of the Lord will be saved"! (Romans 10:13) Blessings to you, Nolan |
