I have been tasked with verifying certain things concerning the Bible. Is it correct that there are 1188 chapters in the Bible and the very center is Psalms 118. 594 before and 594 after? | ||||||

Your answer may be wrong if there is 1188 chapters an even number then the middle must fall between chapters not on one, and this only is works if your counting chapters. If on the other hand your talking books there are 66 and the middle is between Micah and Nahum. If your talking verses there are 31102 and then the middle falls to Psalm 103 verse 1 and verse 2. I'm not going to count the words so I have no idea where the middle would fall if you based it on words. Now consider chapters and verses are man made and the books are man arranged, and will paint a different picture of providence, but I still like Psalm 118. |

Numerology is fine for those who have nothing better to do than count. As one that has 'done math' a bit, I have found that you can make statistics and numbers say whatever you want. In any case, the numerical representation of the Word of God can neither confirm nor deny anything except the opinion of the calculator. "For the word of God is living and active and sharper than any two-edged sword, and piercing as far as the division of soul and spirit, of both joints and marrow, and able to judge the thoughts and intentions of the heart."
