1 | Please clarify. | Rev 21:8 | jcsav | 143060
I don't know how much clearer the Scriptures could be. Is it your belief that the fearful is an unbeliever and not a believer. I can show you where the believer is told not to be fearful. If it is not possible for a believer to be fearful. Why are they warned against it?
2 | Please clarify. | Rev 21:8 | lionheart | 143068
The greek word for coward(fearful) in this context is Deilos- Afraid,cowardly,timid-afraid. You will also find this usage in Mtt 8:26 and Mk 4:40 after this you will not find this usage again in the New Testament. Read those two verse and you will see Jesus response. Look up the Greek words Phobos,Phobeo, phobeomai,Phoberos,Phobetron.Look these up and take a good look at them. You will see the differences in usage and context. You are quite clear but you are taking things out of context. What I just shared here are basic tennants of biblical research and study, when we fail to apply them we are going to get it wrong every time. That includes me too. Check it out. We all deal with fear but we dont have to let it deal with us! We can repent! There are things I'm afraid of but I keep trusting God and do what I gotta do. In Christ, lionheart |

3 | Please clarify. | Rev 21:8 | jcsav | 143099
I agree with you on your study. But my point is made. Mat 8:26 and Mk 4:40 is enought to establish the fact that a believer can be Deilos-afraid.
4 | jcsav, Are the disciples excluded? | Rev 21:8 | Searcher56 | 143200
Scripture ... Mat 8:26, Mar 4:40, Rev 21:8 ...... Does this mean the disciples are excluded, since they were deilos? |

5 | jcsav, Are the disciples excluded? | Rev 21:8 | jcsav | 143215
The only disciple that we see that was deilos as revalation meant the word was Peter. The closest word I can find in English mean "cowardly." OR not willing to risk ones Life. All fear is not cowardly. And as you see the Lord forgave him. Also, you see Peter being one of, if not the first one, After they had received the Holy Ghost (Spirit) to preach the Gospel with boldness. The disciples did not die "deilos" or cowardly.
6 | jcsav, If we die deilos are we excluded? | Rev 21:8 | Searcher56 | 143266
You said, "The disciples did not die "deilos" or cowardly." ... so does that mean if we die in a deilos state we are excluded ... that is we didn't ask for forgiveness?
7 | jcsav, If we die deilos are we excluded? | Rev 21:8 | seedling | 143431
I never heard of a deilos state. Could you explain that in more detail.
8 | jcsav, If we die deilos are we excluded? | Rev 21:8 | Searcher56 | 143455
Soem people believe if we die before we ask for forgiveness, including being deilos (cowardly), we are not going to heaven. I don't. I am proving jcsav is incorrect, who believes one can be deilos (cowardly) and a Christian,
9 | jcsav, If we die deilos are we excluded? | Rev 21:8 | jcsav | 143799
No, you are still misunderstanding me. I am not saying you must ask for forgiveness. I am saying you must repent. There is a difference. If you do not repent, you will not go to heaven.
