So the Mashiyac is speaking to John, two Hebrews from the Tribe of Judah, and they are speaking Greek? It is certainly more appropriate to refer to Yahshua as the Aleph Tav. Same concept, just different Aleph-bet! Look at Gen 1:1 and you will see an Aleph-Tav in the Hebrew text. Aleph-Tav's are frequently untranslated and are connected with Messianic prophecy. | ||||||

AMO14, Good day sir. In this case when will exeplain things. In Genesis there wasn't a written Greek that we know of. Now in the New Testament Greek has pretty much become a universal means of comunication (written and spoken). So it would not be out of the ordinary for John to have written all this in Greek. With 2 Peter 1:20,21 in mind I find it reasonably safe to say he put down what Jesus spoke. No contradiction, no problem. In Him, lionheart |
