Hi, deadjerry! Changes a' coming!... Jesus told the Samaritan woman that the Kingdom of God is at hand! He told Israel that He did not come to abolish the Law but to bring it to fulfillment! In the Old Testament times till the Word's incarnation God had been patient with humanity: dealing with values that were purely economical (eye for an eye--physical reparation for transgressions). But the Lamb of God dissolved the old economy and its currency!: God is Spirit and those that worship must worship in Spirit and in Truth. (John 4:23-24--paraphrased) The zenith of the new economy is the Heavenly Jerusalem: Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth; the first heaven and the first earth had disappeared now, and there was no longer any sea. I saw the holy city, the new Jerusalem, comin down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride dressed for her husband. (Revelation 21:1-2) I could not see any temple in the city since the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb were themselves the temple, (Rev 21:22) Nothing unclean may come into it: no one who does what is loathsome or false, but only those who are listed in the Lamb's book of life. (Rev 21:27) Now, prior to the coming of the New Jerusalem both the devil and his minions (spiritual beings and humans) had been judged, sentenced and separated (Rev 20:7-10, 11-15) from the children of God (those whose names are found written in the book of the Lamb) who are the only ones allowed in the city (Rev 21:27 and 22:1-3). God Bless! Angel |
